I will:

* Help you prepare for high school, university, conservatory or professional auditions

* Help you find new, age-appropriate audition material

* Give you tools to deal with your anxiety in auditions and on stage

* Help you create a vocal and physical warm-up to use before you audition and perform

*  Teach/ review the essentials for professional auditioning

* Work with you on the acting of a song

*  Help you tackle the language of Shakespeare (and other Classical playwrights) with confidence

* Help you learn or perfect dialects and accents (Irish, British, German, etc)

*  Give your acting technique a work-out or a brush up or start from scratch with some beginning acting skills

* Help bring the joy back to the audition process!



I will:

* Help you prepare for a successful presentation in the office, the classroom or at the podium

* Teach you how to make your presentation easy and fun

* Give you tools to deal with any anxiety or "stage fright" you might experience

* Teach you how to engage your audience and speak with confidence and passion about your subject

* Give you some tools and warm-ups to ready your voice, body and brain for your presentation

* For Writers: Teach you how to give your work the reading it deserves

* For Students and Teachers:  Teach you how to "act" a piece of literature for more engaging lessons and better comprehension

Why can I help you?

* I am a professional actor and I understand fear and lack of self-esteem as well as the joy of mastering new skills, overcoming anxiety and uncertainty and approaching a challenging task with excitement and self-confidence

* I have a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting, a BA in Drama in addition to other extensive acting training

* I have two years experience teaching Oral Interpretation of Literature and Classical Acting at University of Missouri, Kansas City for the Undergraduate Theater Department

* I have more than seven years experience teaching and coaching, for ages 6-adult, with theater companies and high schools in Missouri and California

*  I have a passion for sharing my love of theater, Shakespeare and literature

Rates:

$35/ hour

$20/ half-hour

$5 materials fee for Dialects and Accents, includes practice CD or MP3 files and handouts

$2 materials fee for other handout packets (Shakespeare, Oral Interp, more than one monologue)

Location:  My home or your's, your office or classroom (Studio space may be available for an additional fee)
